Bubbles might be the most joyful pattern in the natural world. We often see patterns in nature as beautiful or functional, which they are, but sometimes they are also kind of delightful. The work of the universe feels serious, it is work that requires structure, rigor, and precision. But when we see bubbles, we know that there is also a role for flexibility, movement, and the unpredictable.
